How many sessions does it take to feel change and improvement?
The amount of time needed to feel better and see changes in your life depends very much on the person, the nature of their difficulties and life circumstances.

From my experience working with my clients, it takes on average between 6-12 sessions for a client to feel meaningful change. The Mental Health Treatment Plan enables you to receive a Medicare rebate for up to 20 sessions.
What is Acceptance Commitment Therapy?
Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an empirically based psychological intervention branched from the cognitive behavioural approach.

In a nutshell, it aims to identify what is important for you in life (values) and what actions you can take to live your life fully with a sense of wellbeing.

To achieve that, ACT interventions encompass acceptance of aspects of one’s life that are beyond one’s control, challenging unhelpful thoughts, and teaching skills such as distress tolerance, emotional regulation, psychological flexibility, and mindfulness.
What is Interpersonal Neurobiology approach?
Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) is an interdisciplinary approach that embraces all branches of science to expand our understanding of the mind and well-being.

It explores the ways in which relationships and the brain interact to shape our internal lives. It aims at developing a healthy mind, an integrated brain, and empathic relationships.
